Holiday Gift-Giving Inspiration 2021

practical tips & sustainable solutions Nov 12, 2021
Eco-friendly wrapped gifts tied with twine and a tag reading 'Holiday gift guide' on a vibrant turquoise wooden background, conveying a festive and sustainable gift-giving theme.

Despite my best efforts, I have had a really hard time getting my holiday gift-giving going this fall - this in spite of some BIG family changes in the next few weeks and all the warnings about shipping delays…

Can anyone else relate?

I love using gifting guides to jumpstart my inspiration especially for those hard to shop for individuals on my list…

Heck, sometimes, I even just forward the lists to my husband to give him a hand too.

If you are stuck in a similar boat, I have handpicked some of the products and resources I recommend time and time again along with a few new favorites to friends, patients, and clients.

Check out the personalized lists for those dealing with allergies or suffering from Sjogren’s symptoms below!

Nordic Naturals
Research suggests that taking an omega-3 fatty acid supplement can reduce symptoms of dry eyes.

Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega is Ideal for individuals needing the highest levels of omega-3s EPA and DHA, for heart, brain, and immune health. It is made from 100% wild-caught sardines and anchovies with a fresh lemon taste to avoid the fishy-tasting burps.

Biotene Gel
The most concentrated flavor, sugar, and alcohol-free formula for soothing and moisturizing relief for dry mouth are associated with Sjogren's.

Although packaging states it lasts for up to 4 hours, my patients have found this helpful for use overnight.

Rise Well Dental Health
Is a huge part of Sjogren’s care and these products make a great stocking stuffer!

Unlike many natural toothpastes, Risewell is made with naturally-derived hydroxyapatite, a mineral that makes up 97% of our tooth enamel and 60% of your bones, and has been proven to strengthen and protect your teeth without fluoride.

Oh and the scrubby floss also contains hydroxyapatite so that those tight spots between teeth are not overlooked.

Last but not least, I am a big fan of their mouthwash too which is made to work with your microbiome! It is naturally alkaline to inhibit the growth of bad bacteria.

Tongue Scraper
I am not done with oral health yet…

Tongue scraping can’t replace brushing and flossing but has some additional benefits including improving your sense of taste, reducing bad breath, and removing bacteria implicated in dental decay.
